Released March 1970
Crosby, Stills and Nash debut album reached the top 10 of the U.S. charts in the summer of 1969 and received a Grammy for Best New Artist , but their follow up, where they were joined by Neil Young (ex-Buffalo Springfield) was the album that established the group.
The combination of timeless lyrics and effortless vocal harmonies that stops the listener in his/her tracks, made the album eclipse their debut’s sales.
Classics such as “Teach Your Children”, “Our House”, ( later featured in a well known TV advert ) and “Woodstock” which had been featured at the festival the previous year (and also a top 20 hit in the U.S.) , ensured the projects success.
The album was featured on my show on Hospital Radio Bedford broadcast on Tuesday 31st May 2016
